Engage your elementary students with a Red Ribbon Game, teaching healthy or unhealthy choices to promote drug-free living during Red Ribbon Week.
Making Healthy Choices – A Red Ribbon Game for All!
If you’re a classroom teacher looking for ideas for Red Ribbon Week, you’re in for an exciting Red Ribbon Game that goes beyond traditional classroom lessons. Red Ribbon Week is an annual event promoting drug and alcohol awareness, making healthy choices, and saying NO to drugs. It’s a week when schools nationwide unite to educate and empower students about the importance of a drug-free life.
You’ll witness an explosion of creativity, confidence, and meaningful conversations during Red Ribbon Week. Kids experience themed dress-up days, engage in team-building activities, and do projects and crafts, reinforcing the message effects of drug use and healthy lifestyle choices.
This year, you’ll play a vital role in promoting a positive and supportive environment for your students during this special week. The Teach Starter team has created a fun, new interactive Red Ribbon game to help you get your students playing, thinking, and making good choices.
Is It Healthy Or Unhealthy? Game
This excellent Healthy or Unhealthy game is an eye-catching, thought-provoking Google Slides game with scenarios or pictures about making healthy and unhealthy choices. Each scenario depicts a situation where the player has to decide whether the choice presented is healthy or hurtful regarding drug use and overall mind and body health.
After completing the game, encourage your students to discuss their choices as a group. Encourage them to reflect on the questions, the importance of making healthy decisions, and the consequences of hurtful ones.
This interactive game makes learning about healthy choices enjoyable and promotes critical thinking and decision-making skills. It’s a great way to reinforce the message of Red Ribbon Week, create classroom community and empower students to make informed, drug-free choices.
