We all know that students have so much fun when integrating games into the classroom. Regardless if they are learning how to add, multiply or even work with fractions, adding a competitive element makes learning much more fun!
Teach Starter has created an engaging math game to practice rounding whole numbers to the nearest hundred thousands place. With this download, you will receive 32 playing cards each with an answer and a question that connects to another player’s card.
How to Use Our I Have, Who Has Math Game
To use this game in your classroom, print out the cards on cardstock and cut them out along the dotted line. Store them in a resealable bag to be used again and again, year after year.
Use as a whole-class activity by giving each student a card and asking them to stand. The student with the card, “I have 10. Who has…” will start the game. They read their card out loud to the class. The student who has the answer will read their card out loud and sit down. The game continues until play comes back to the student who started the game with 10.
Use as a math center activity by having students connect the matching cards, end to end, as you would with dominoes. When the student or pair of students has completed the activity, the top and bottom cards should connect.
