OREO Persuasive Writing Frame – Opinion Writing for Beginners
OREO is a useful mnemonic device that can be used to help your writers remember the paragraph structure for persuasive or opinion writing tasks.
Opinion: Students state their opinion on the topic.
Reason: Students give reason(s) to support their topic.
Evidence Students give evidence from the text to support their opinion.
Opinion: Finally, they restate their opinion as a conclusion.
