Punctuation Puppets

PDF | 3 pages|Grades: K, 1 - 3

A set of punctuation characters to cut out and use as puppets.

This teaching resource is a cut-out activity for students to create stick or finger puppets for punctuation practice. Use the color version, or get students to color in the black and white version to bring these punctuation characters to life. These can be adhered craft sticks, or you can use the available strips to turn them into finger puppets.

These can be used for whole group instruction, or you could put them in a writing center. We have included an activity sheet with examples of how to use these.

Punctuation marks include:

  • period
  • exclamation point
  • question mark
  • comma
  • quotation marks
  • apostrophe
