Preparing for Learning
This Geographyย unitย provides excellent opportunities for cross-curricular integration.ย Look for ways to meaningfully integrate the content of the unit with other learning areas e.g. Literacy, Numeracy, The Arts.
Prior to commencing the unit, create a classroom display which acknowledges the places students live in and belong to.ย Displayย teaching resources that will stimulate the studentsโ interest and assist in their learning, such as the Caring for Places Word Wallย and the People Live in Places – Banner.ย For examples of additional teachingย resources to display in your classroom, browse the Places collectionย on the Teach Starter website.
