Kick off a new school year with a “Put a Finger Down” Getting to Know You classroom icebreaker.
Put a Finger Down…Back to School Introductions
It’s that time of year! Back to school means a fresh group of students that need to get to know one another. Get your students up, talking, and sharing what makes them unique with the ever-popular “Put a Finger Down” style icebreaker activity.
Looking for an Easy First Day of School Activity?
To participate, students hold up ten fingers and listen to or read each prompt from the Slides presentation. If the prompt applies to them, they will put one finger down and share their reasoning with a partner. Play continues until no cards are left or no students with fingers still being held up.
