This set of 5 worksheets has been created to support students’ blending skills when it comes to reading simple CVC words. Each worksheet contains 7 words with three images next to each word, students are guided to read the word and then color the matching image. If they’re not up to this skill level.
For those students that aren’t up to the letter-sound correspondence as yet, you can help them by saying each of the sounds and then getting them to blend the sounds together to say the word. This worksheet pack can really be adjusted to suit the needs of the students in your class.

- Give students a string of beads, and as they say each sound, they slide a bead across, blending the sounds together at the end.
