Make place value review exciting with a Halloween board game designed just for 2nd grade learners! In this fun, seasonal activity, students review place value concepts such as standard number form, expanded form, and word form while moving around a spooky game board. This Halloween Board Game is the perfect blend of spooky fun and meaningful math practice.

Review Word, Expanded, and Standard Form With a Halloween Math Game

This Halloween math game turns place value review into an engaging classroom challenge. Students draw cards, answer questions, and move their pieces along the board, all while reinforcing essential place value skills.

How To Play:

  1. Place game tokens at “Start.” Player 1 rolls the number cube and moves forward the same number of spaces. The player follows the directions on the space.
  2. If a player lands on a picture, they will choose a card and answer the multiple-choice question. The other player checks their answer.
  3. If correct, the student remains in position. If incorrect, they must go back to the previous space they were on.
  4. Players take turns. The player who gets to the “Finish” space first wins!
