Print out this poster and laminate it. Put it up in your classroom as a visual reminder when teaching about life cycles.

You could also use it as a guide for the students to copy into their science journals.

  • Adult fly lays eggs.
  • Larvae hatch from the egg.
  • Larvae feed and live on decaying animal and plant matter.
  • Larvae crawl to a dry, cool place and transform into pupae.
  • Adult fly emerges from the pupae.
