An Easy Make-Your-Own Paper Activity
The Make-Your-Own Paper Activity pack walks students through the full process:
- Tear paper into tiny pieces and soak it in water until soft.
- Mash or blend the wet paper into a mushy pulp.
- Spread the pulp across a mesh board or flat surface.
- Press out water with a towel.
- Sprinkle seeds onto the pulp and press them in.
- Continue pressing out water until the paper firms up.
- Carefully remove the paper from the mesh or leave it to dry on the surface.
- Place the seed paper in a warm, sunny spot to dry completely.
- Cut the dried paper into smaller pieces.
- Plant the seed paper in soil when ready.
