🍀 Feeling Lucky? We Know We Are! 🍀
Get your students to write about their good fortunes with this St Patrick’s Day-inspired clover display.
Their luck can be related to school, home, friendships and family—anything that makes them feel good about themselves!
Print on cardstock for durability and provide both pages to each student. On the “I’m feeling lucky because…” page, students can draw a picture or write about what makes them lucky.
Get creative with the “We’re lucky to be in” card! Students can fill it in with things like their:
- Class name (ex: Ms. Smith’s class)
- Grade level (ex: Grade 3)
- Town or place they live (ex: Austin, Texas)
To assemble, cut out the shapes and attach them by gluing both pieces together by the tabs. Connect them all and display your creation as a decorative banner or frame a classroom bulletin board.
✂️ Give Them the (Safety) Scissors
Depending on your students ‘ ages and abilities, this template makes for a bonus cutting skills activity.
With adult supervision, cutting skills help students work multiple muscle groups and their brains, plus:
- Strengthen finger and hand muscles
- Build dexterity and fine motor skills
- Improve hand-eye coordination
- Develop focus and attention
And all of these skills are necessary to use a pencil and a fork; button a shirt and tie shoes; write, type, and swipe.
Scissor skills are brain and muscle skills!
