Reading Fluency Activities
In addition to our Sentence Reading Fluency and Comprehension Worksheets, there are a range of different reading fluency activities to help your students develop their reading skills, including:
- Timed Reading: Have students read a sentence or passage at their own pace, then record their time. This helps them develop fluency and accuracy.
- Echo Reading: Have students echo-read a sentence or passage, repeating the words and phrases after you.
- Choral Reading: Have students read a sentence or passage in unison, emphasizing the importance of fluency and accuracy.
- Fluency Practice: Use the worksheets as a guide for fluency practice. Have students read the sentences at their own pace, then discuss the following:

- How did the sentence rhythm affect the meaning?
