Using This Counting On Facts Game in the Classroom

This count on facts game takes just a bit of preparation and can then be used for years to come. Here’s how!

Getting Ready:

  1. Start by downloading the count on facts board game in the format that works best for you.
  2. Print out the game board, playing cards, answer key, number cube, and game tokens. For extra sturdiness, we suggest using cardstock.
  3. Cut out the cards and tokens, and put together the number cube.

Playing the Game:

  1. Each student places their game piece on the “Start” space. Stack the cards on the “Draw Pile” spot.
  2. The first player rolls the number cube and moves forward that number of spaces.
  3. The player follows any instructions on the space.
  4. If the space shows a picture, the player picks a card and solves the equation. A correct answer means they stay put; a wrong answer sends them back to their last spot.
  5. Players continue taking turns. The first to reach the “Finish” space is the winner!
