Create a spooky scene to include in a narrative text using a die and a chart with this fun, hands-on Halloween activity.
Use this Halloween-themed teaching resource to reinforce some of the concepts you have been learning in Visual Arts (including foreground, background, and scale) or to create a scene for a Halloween narrative.
How to use this resource:
- Roll the die and match the number to the chart. Draw the feature from the “1st Roll” column.
- Roll again and match the number to the chart. Add the feature from the “2nd Roll” column to your drawing.
- Keep rolling and drawing until your picture is finished.
- Write a story that goes with your spooky scene.
This resource works great as a writing center activity during the weeks leading up to Halloween.
