Math Scavenger Hunt: A Fun Easter-Themed Challenge!

Looking for an engaging way to practice whole number operations? This Math Scavenger Hunt combines problem-solving with an exciting Easter twist! Students will search for hidden Easter eggs, solve math problems, and crack secret codes—all while having a blast!

Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt: How to Play

Print out the Easter eggs and ciphers on cardstock for durability. Cut out the 24 Easter eggs and hide them around the room or outside in a designated area. For added excitement, place some eggs in tricky locations!

Students will be given a worksheet that matches the hidden eggs. As they locate an egg, they should leave it in place and record its number on their worksheet. Once all eggs have been found, students will solve the number sentences associated with each egg.

Math Easter Egg Hunt: Crack the Codes!

Once students solve their number sentences correctly, they will receive a cipher to decode a mystery message! Three cipher levels are available: easy, difficult, and hard. Start with the hardest cipher and provide an easier one if needed.

You can print multiple copies of the ciphers for students or display them digitally for group use.

Differentiation for All Skill Levels

This Math Easter Egg Hunt includes three differentiated worksheets to accommodate different skill levels while keeping all students engaged in the same activity.

  • Triangle Worksheet: Simple addition and subtraction problems.
  • Circle Worksheet: Addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
  • Trapezium Worksheet: Order of operations, including parentheses.

Each worksheet features a symbol in the top-right corner to indicate its difficulty level, allowing for easy differentiation. Answer keys are also included for quick assessment.
