Making Ten Activity

Upgrade to Access | 2 pages (PDF)|Grades: K, 1 - 1

An activity to practice making 10 using objects, pictorial models, and number sentences.

Having a strong sense of 10 is fundamental in the primary mathematics classroom. It not only helps build a strong foundation for place value, but also helps with mental math.

Use this activity in your classroom to help strengthen your students’ ability to make 10. Students will make 10 using snap cubes, a part-part-whole number bond model, a ten frame, and a number sentence.

This activity is great to use with your guided math groups or when placed in a math center.

Instructions are included with the download.
