Information includes:
Where: Along the Murray River in South Australia, through to New South Wales and throughout Tasmania.
How many: The growling grass frog is listed as endangered in Victoria. Conservationists aren’t certain how many are left in the wild but the frog population has been declining for over 20 years.
Why: Loss of native habitat. Smaller populations mean that growling grass frogs are more prone to diseases.
